Trailer Tuesday - Life in a Day
Life in a Day started last July as a global experiment to create the world's largest user generated film, a documentary shot in a single day. An edited montage of the submissions (4,500 hours of footage from 192 countries) was constructed by director Kevin Macdonald (Touching the Void, Last King of Scotland) and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Januray.
I'm glad to say that the film includes an entry from the United Arab Emirates, by Harvey Glen, read about his experience at the Sundance Film Festival here.
Life in a Day will be released across cinemas in the US next month. Here's hoping it makes its way to the cinemas in the United Arab Emirates.
On July 24, 2010, thousands of people around the world uploaded videos of their lives to YouTube to take part in Life in a Day, a historic cinematic experiment to create a documentary film about a single day on earth.
Now, it's time to watch their story unfold on the big screen.
Directed by Oscar winner Kevin Macdonald, Life in a Day wowed audiences at the Sundance, Berlin and SXSW film festivals and during its YouTube world premiere in January. This summer, you'll be able to watch the movie in a theater near you.
