Simon Werner a disparu by Fabrice Gobert
Simon Werner a disparu (Simon Werner disappeared) by Fabrice Gobert has been getting some great reviews since its debut at this year's Cannes International Film Festival. (Read reviews from First Showing and /Film.)
Set in the early 1990s in a small town in the suburbs of Paris, during an alcohol fueled party, teenagers discover a body hidden in the bushes of a forest. We are then taken back 10 days earlier where the story is told through the four main characters. The movie is dark and not your average teenage thriller.
Added bonus? The soundtrack includes music by Sonic Youth and New Order. You can enjoy some of the music in this trailer (apologies to non-French speakers, but I could not find a version with subtitles.)
I cannot wait to see this.
