High Five to Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke

First piece of news I watched and read this morning was about the haka protest in the New Zealand Parliament over Māori rights bill.

It started with MP Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke tearing a copy of the new proposed bill, followed by other MPs joining her in the Haka protest. We need to see more of this display of anger in spaces where colonial and racist mentalities still prevail.

Speaker Gerry Brownlee rolling his eyes is so despicable and cowardly, it represents so much of what is wrong in our world today.
