New year and new films. I watched lots of old films and a few new ones. My highlights, watching John Cassavetes films (A Woman Under the Influence and The Killing of Chinese Bookie) for the first time and hope to see more this year.

I also watched The Red Shoes (Dir. Michael Powell, Emeric Pressburger, 1948) and Badlands (Dir. Terrence Malick, 1973) for the first time. I hope I get a chance to watch both films on the big screen some day.

I am also super excited with the return of The X-Files.
