I recently found out June 9th is Bill & Ted Day, “a themed-holiday where people around the world make a concerted effort to be excellent to each other, and party on, dude.”

This day that is dedicated to celebrate the film Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure started in 2012 and it has slowly spread around the world. This year, the city of Dubai will be part of the celebration.

Warehouse Four, an event space and photo/film studio that includes a cinema space will host Dubai’s first Bill & Ted Day. “Fancy dress is optional but highly encouraged dudes!”

The screening starts at 8.00pm (doors open at 7.00pm) and you can reserve your seat here.

I’ve not seen Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure since its release, on a not so great quality VHS. During the past month, I’ve been going through a Keanu-thon session at home, watching lots of Keanu Reeves films circa 1990s-early 2000s, plus his John Wick films in cinemas (John Wick 1 & 2 double bill at Prince Charles Cinema in London, Destination Wedding at Showcase in Newham, and John Wick 3 in London and Dubai) - all of which I will write about in more details in a separate post.

I had Bill & Ted lined up to watch at home, but since it will be shown on a big screen at Warehouse Four, I plan to see it there and check out the venue. They also recently launched a film club called Film@Four and I’m looking forward to their line up.
